iPhonig, LLC was established in 2009. It was started by a father and son team, Barry and Ben Honig. Barry used to program in college and through his life until he started a recruiting company called Honig International. Barry, still extremely knowledgeable about programming and technology inspired Ben to take a computer programming course in high school. Ben had a real gift for it and went onto learning Visual Basic, Java and now Objective - C. Once Apple, Inc. released the iPhone, and than introduced the App Store to the iPhone Ben decided that he wanted to make iPhone applications.
Ben, being a technology reviewer on YouTube who goes as NJDevilfan26 because of his love for the New Jersey Devils hockey franchise decided that he was going to make an app that revoloved around NJDevilfan26. The app was designed to allow a user to email him from within the app, watch all of his youtube videos within the app, and view his Twitter feed. The only problem was that in order to program Ben needed an Apple Computer. Barry bought a number of books for Ben to read on Objective - C and making iPhone applications and told him that if he read those books and passed a test on both subjects he would buy him an Apple Computer.
Ben got his very own Macbook and than the programming began. His first app, the NJDevilfan26 App. Ben worked for hours and hours on creating the app, writing the code as well as creating the graphics himself and after about a week and a half he submitted it to the iPhone App Store. Now both Ben and Barry design new apps on a regular basis and get them ready for submission to the App Store.
